Booking your road cycling holiday – We are happy for groups of 18 – 20 to fill any of our published departure dates and we can then mould the trip to suit you best. Smaller groups wanting their own trip are also welcome to get in touch but there will be price implications to your reduced group size. Larger groups up to 25 are also welcome. If you have a date in mind then it is worth getting in touch up to 12 months or more in advance.
• Tweak an existing itinerary: If you like the general look of a road cycling trip but want to include a particular mountain climb you like, or stay in a particular area longer etc and can chat through with you how to meet the needs of your whole group.
• Arrange airport transfers to suit your groups arrival/departure times
• Chat through options for using our stats and logos on any group jerseys/merchandise you may have.
• Discuss options for a new itinerary or destination not currently offered by Marmot Tours. Trips costs will be higher due to the development work involved in organising a holiday to the same high spec as our off the peg tours.
Marmot Tours has supported many a charity or corporate group taking on a Raid challenge. The Raid Pyrenean lends itself particularly well to a group or charity challenge but any of our challenges are applicable. If you are looking for a cycling challenge and aren’t sure which one might best suit your groups then please do drop us a line and we’ll give you our expert advice.
Egbert Le Roux and a group of his mates wanted to cycle the Classic Alpine cols. Coming from South Africa, their trip was a few months in the planning and we helped them tweak the itinerary to suit them, arrange transport to meet their international flights, bike hire to avoid them having to transport bikes, and visa letters so they could get into France! We even put our Dutch speaking guide onto the trip as he could understand a fair bit of Afrikaans! This is what they had to say after their Tour:
“For all of us, the company, the Tour, and the achievement of cresting some of the most famous cols in cycling will forever be remembered and cherished”. E Le Roux 2014
John Lewis Venture Club have done two different Raids with Marmot Tours; the Pyrenean and the Raid Alpine N – S. The nature of their group, spanning the breadth of John Lewis services, meant us taking a slightly larger group than normal: 25 clients. We liaised closely with their group organiser, invoicing through the corporate system, and matching our transport logistics to suit the group. This is what they thought of their tour:
A 20 strong group of South Africans wanted to come over and do the Raid Pyrenean with Marmot Support. They were fit cyclists who do an annual holiday together and loved the idea of taking on the traverse of the Pyrenees in 100 hours. We sent them logos for their trip jerseys, arranged transport for their group, sorted out visa letters and worked closely with their group leader to ensure we had everyone organised for the holiday.
“A huge thank you to you and everybody who have given us such a wonderful time. To everybody at Marmot, you are stars and your back up when needed was unbelievable and so re-assuring! To Alan and Terry you guys are Pro’s beyond your years! Everybody commented on your incredible support, always being there and your willingness to go way beyond the call of duty! You are part of the team and its not often that I cannot find words to express my gratitude to all at Marmot, but thats how I feel this afternoon!” James Parkin 2014
A group of 6 friends from Singapore wanted to try out our Pyrenean Classic Cols Minibreak. We arranged a special transfer to meet their transcontinental flight and they joined an ‘off the peg’ departure date. They thought this of their trip:
“I really enjoyed my trip to the Pyrenees this year with Kevin and Alan. So much so that some of us are considering doing the Classic Cols of the Picos from 24 to 31 May next year.. What availability do you have ?” E Goh 2014
Many thanks for organizing such a brilliant week for us all. Your organization and support simply left nothing to be desired. Sounds a bit over the top but when you ask for comments on areas that you can improve, I just can't think of any.
