Pedro Mireles Memorial Ceremony

We’ve been completely overwhelmed by the comments left on this News page after we informed you of our dear friend Pedro Mireles’ incredibly sad and sudden death. In addition, a staggering £5,857 has been donated to the fund we set up in memory of Pedro. In case you’d still like to donate, we intend to keep this open for another month before forwarding it to Pedro’s partner.

Many of our clients have asked for an update on how Pedro’s life might be commemorated. At 3pm on Sunday 17th February and to respect his views, there will be a small, non-religious memorial service in the Italian village Pedro called home. James and Helen will be attending on behalf of the Marmot Tours team. Pedro’s partner has asked that we remember him in whichever way we see fit. Get on your bike, head for your nearest ‘cheeky climb’, take a stroll along a river, a dip in the ocean, raise a glass or just sit quietly in a beautiful place outside and smile, as he would have done.

A tree will be planted in his memory, so that Pedro’s partner and daughter will have something beautiful to look at when thinking of him – the wonderful, chivalrous, amazing human being he was.

Rest in peace, amigo.
