Assistant Guide (Road Cycling Holidays)
Since arriving at the maternity ward of a missionary hospital in Uganda, I have lived somewhat nomadically, studying, volunteering and working in various countries around the globe. A small sample of my portfolio of unusual experiences includes collecting ovine faecal samples for nematode infection analysis in Australia, hosting Scottish country dancing evenings for non-English speaking students in Mexico, learning tae-kwon-do in its native land, walking the Camino de Santiago across northern Spain and nursing baby zebras at a wildlife rehabilitation centre in South Africa.
In 2015 I moved from Spain to France for a six-month sabbatical. I have been here ever since, unashamedly seduced by the mountains, the glorious space and a tantalising sense of freedom. When I’m not renovating houses or teaching little people English, I cycle, I hike, I snow-shoe, I climb big rocks and I breathe deeply of the heavenly air here.
New to the team for 2021, I’m really chuffed to be part of the Marmot Tours family and look forward to working with passionate people – both colleagues and clients – who appreciate the great outdoors and find the fun in life.
