Guide (Road Cycling Holidays)
Be it cycling, skiing, hiking or swimming in the sea … my best life memories are outdoors. I always found the vision of a far summit irresistibly appealing, along with the physical effort needed to reach it, an assault, making you feel strong and a spiritual exercise when you’re handling your limit – your soul and body want to experience it again and again.
I don’t remember when I had my first bike. At six years old, I remember my first cycling tour in Corsica, on the back of my dad’s bike, feeling the freedom, breeze and sun! At seven years old I was pedalling on a customised tandem and at nine I had my first road bike, climbing Alpe d’Huez and the Izoard the following year. Other trips in the Alps followed and after some years of road racing, I started out on my own to explore each road in my homeland region, Tuscany, and many other places.
Eventually, I found myself in an office for 80 hour weeks, trying to earn more money, but after some years I was getting sad, so I saved myself and escaped to the great outdoors again. I’m still here, on the road, looking for new friends and cycling adventures!
