We’re Celebrating Our 2021 Road Cycling Holidays!
Well! We made it to the end of 2021 in one piece and to say we’re relieved would be just about the understatement of the year. In the end we managed to run 19 fabulous road cycling holidays and took just over 250 people on holiday – well short of ‘normal life’ but a huge bonus after the uncertainty of the last 22 months. We’ve put together a super short video capturing some of the best bits of the year. This was harder to produce than you can imagine when there were over 5,000 amazing photos taken by our guides! Click on this link Marmot Tours Best of 2021 which will take you over to our You Tube channel and the video – don’t forget to Like and Subscribe!
We hope it whets your appetite for 2022!
Still Thinking About Your 2022 Road Cycling Holiday?
Are you still mooting where to go on holiday next year? We now have very limited availability but it’s worth noting that if you can gather together a group of 10 or more cycling friends, we may be able to put on an extra autumn trip for you.
Will it be the Raid Pyrenean?
Maybe 2022 is the year you and your mates crack the Raid Pyrenean – cycling across the French Pyrenees from the Atlantic to the Mediterranean in 100 hrs! When the Cyclo Club BĂ©arnais (who administer the Raid) registered their 10,000th cyclist this year, we were thrilled when they told us it was William Stocks, a rider on our trip in September!
Or the Raid Alpine?
Or are you more inclined to take your two wheels to the Alps? The Raid Alpine is another once in a lifetime challenge that will stay with you forever. There were certainly high spirits when we ran our first Raid since 2019, at the end of August this year. You’ve got the option to ride this challenge North to South (Geneva to Nice) or in the opposite direction, finishing at beautiful Lake Geneva in the heart of the Alps.
The best flexible road cycling holiday in the Alps!
If you’d rather go at your own pace and are coming as a group with a range of personal goals then you can’t go wrong with our Alpine Classic Cols trip. It’s got more infamous Tour de France climbs than … well, you get the idea.
If you’ve been on road cycling holiday with us before, you know the score: our Classic Cols cycling holidays include a variety of routes to choose from each day so you decide how much (or little) you want to push yourself. There’s no requirement to choose a ‘camp’ at the start of the week – not on a Marmot holiday! Each day is yours and our two experienced guides are there to support you. Whether that’s with a mechanical problem, some first aid or just to keep you motivated with those all important pep talks and snacks, they’re roadside to help you have FUN and to get the very most out of your cycling holiday with us.
If you can muster a large-ish group then do please get in touch with our admin team in the office. Sabine and Kerstin can talk you through dates and itineraries that may be available.

Our Christmas Office Hours
Like everyone, we enjoy taking a break away from the office to spend time with family & friends at Christmas and so we’ll have very limited office hours between 12:30 on 24th December & 09:00 on 4th January.
We’ve found that when families and friends get together over Christmas they like to plan their next cycling adventures and so for this reason, we’ll have one member of the team answering the phone and emails – mornings only – between 29th & 31st December to help you with your holiday queries. We appreciate that people like to get things ironed out before going back to work in January so we’ll be there to help you with your planning and any questions you may have.
