On each and every one of our tours you'll enjoy the outstanding support of two of our Marmot guides with our well-stocked, customised support vans. As well as being exceptional human beings, their attention to detail, their understanding of cyclists' needs, their sense of fun, and their ability to stay cool in a crisis mean you're geared up to have the best possible week in - and out of - the saddle.
All of the planning and preparation for your tour has been our focus over the previous months. Everything you need, including access to GPS files, is in your Route Buddy app, available to you a week before your trip departs. We've thought of every tiny detail, even down to where the local water fountains are on your route, and the opening hours of the closest café so you know when to stop for lunch.
As you may know, our tours fill up fast! If there's a particular location and/or date you're interested in, we'd advise you don't hesitate to express your interest. This is especially important if you'd like to come with a group of four or more fellow cyclists and have a specific tour or dates in mind. Just click on the ENQUIRE NOW button from the holiday page you're most keen on. You can also add extra details in the enquiry form, such as other trips or departures you're considering, and our friendly team will get back to you as soon as they can. We expect a flurry of emails once this newsletter goes out, so please bear with us over the next few days!
You'll notice when you check out our 2027 tours, that our website has a new look. It's been a big project at Marmot HQ for some time, so we're delighted to share it with you now.
Our new website includes lots of new content and features we hope you'll find useful such as:
If you're in Australia, Canada, South Africa, or USA you can now select your location to see our prices in your local currency. The Rest of World location option is for, well, you guessed it, the rest of us! Please note that we still require payment in GBPÂŁ Sterling, so this is simply a tool to help you convert our prices.
A much improved Home page and Gallery - we hope scrolling through some of our best images inspires you if you're finding it hard to choose a tour!
Improved search filters on our Holidays page - you can even search for a particular climb and we'll show you which tours it features on.
Also on our Holidays page, a new calendar view, so you can see what tours are running if you select a specific date period.
Three new buttons on every holiday page to make the information you need to know a lot clearer: What's Included, Essential Info and Travel and Transfers, which includes the ability to search for flights via Skyscanner.
A much improved FAQs section - helping you find the answers to everything you need to know about our cycling holidays.
A completely new Blog, categorised into different sections to make finding the content you want easier to find, including Newsletters, Training & Cycling, Bike Stuff & Kit, Highlighted Holidays, and In the Press. There are improved search filters too, to help you get where you need to be quicker.
Four completely new pages:
Merchandise - check out our new kit and how the ordering process works. Keep an eye on this page for new gear coming soon!
Testimonials - so delighted are we with the lovely feedback we get that we had to share it! You can even search by holiday, to help you decide if a tour is the right one for you.
Team Marmot - A.K.A rogues gallery!
About - allowing us to share what makes us tick.
We hope you enjoy having a browse around the site, and while we hope there won't be any teething issues, there just might be! If there are, please bear with us while we iron those out with our web development team. We'll be taking on board any feedback you give us too, as we continue to improve the website over the coming months.
Have you checked it out yet? You may have already placed an order, in which case, thank you, and we hope you're enjoying your new threads!
If you haven't but you're thinking of doing so, this is just a friendly reminder that all our jerseys and gilets are produced in small batches on demand, so it's important you take note of the delivery timescale when placing your order. Our partners Stolen Goat don't have stock ready-made, so acknowledging the order window is key, so you know when to expect your new gear. It just takes a bit of planning.
As a certified B Corp™ and 1% For The Planet member, we proactively avoid waste in all areas of our business (you can read more about this on our Sustainability and B Corp™ pages). This ordering system avoids the problem of excess stock and adding to landfill. Thanks for your support and understanding with the way we do things.
Remember to claim your 'thank-you' discount when you place your order! Your discount code plus terms and conditions of the offer are posted in the Important Holiday Updates section of the Link, accessible once you've made a holiday reservation. You can also head to our new Merchandise page, which summarises how to place an order.
WHOOP WHOOP! As if running four cycling holidays a week wasn't enough (ha, ha!), we're busy finalising our fleet of new bikes which will be available for hire on our 2027 cycling holidays.
These will replace our current fleet and while we've got limited information to share at the moment, we can confirm a few details. Each bike will have:
We aim to finalise the full spec (including sizes available) this Autumn. Keep checking our Hire Bikes page, where we'll publish the full spec once we have it. We've already published our hire prices there, so you can consider these when choosing which 2027 cycling holiday you wish to book.
If you're a regular subscriber, or just pick up a copy occasionally, you might have seen our superstar guide Ewa in issue 174. This time, the Big Ride was the Nassfeld Pass in the Carnic Alps. The Cyclist team know they can rely on us for exceptional support, and once again, we were happy to help Ewan Wilson and photographer Juan Trujillo Andrades with the logistics, including 'loaning' them Ewa and Constantin Bartels. The team actually did the ride last summer, the day after Constantin rode with Ewan on the Mangart and Vršič pass climbs. These were the focus in the Slovenia Big Ride - Pogačar's Playground. We've published a digital copy of the Big Ride in issue 174 in our In the Press section of our Blog, so check it out if you haven't already.
We're sure you'll agree that Ewa makes climbing the Nassfeld Pass look like a walk in the park! Thanks to both her and Constantin again, for being such brilliant ambassadors for us. We know you think so too, judging by the glowing comments in your feedback forms.
Still on the subject of Cyclist magazine ... Most recently issues 175 and 176 have featured some of our favourite Big Rides ever: the Furkapass and Col de la Bonette. You can ride the magnificent Furka on our flexible pace Swiss Alps tour and also on the epic 9-day Raid Dolomites.
As for the Bonette, we also give you two options to tick off this giant of a climb: on our flexible pace Classic Cols of the Southern Alps and also on the challenge of a lifetime, Raid Alpine.
Just let us know if you're interested in coming on any of our 2027 departures for either of those spectacular holidays. Simply click the ENQUIRE NOW button from the trip page you're interested in and our team will get back to you as soon as they can.
