Guide

I have loved cycling for as long as I can remember. I started on a purple tricycle at age 3 and many years later (eek!), I have five beloved bikes and a Victorian penny farthing. My heart is in the mountains, so I spend my holiday time skiing, hiking, cycling, and photographing in the hills.

Exploring the world is very important to me, and I’m passionate about ensuring Marmot Tours’ guests have the best holidays! Before finding Marmot Tours I went on many cycling holidays as a cyclist, so I have a good idea of where and when guests need reassurance, encouragement, and support. I’m a lifelong skier and have been a Ski Club of GB ski rep, guiding in resorts in the Alps and the Rockies, making sure skiers take home wonderful skiing memories.

I’m originally from Wolverhampton but moved to Bonnie Scotland to study mechanical engineering at Edinburgh University. I worked as a technical journalist in London, then worked offshore as a navigator on a seismic survey vessel in the oil industry. On returning to Aberdeen, I began a career as a professional photographer and drone pilot. I also taught photography workshops and led tours to Iceland. My favourite photography subject is wildlife – my three most well-known images won awards in the Wildlife Photographer of the Year at the Natural History Museum in London: an Arctic fox, a polar bear, and a Hawaiian tree (annahenly.com). I’ll be only too pleased to take photographs of your cycling adventures!

I’m incredibly excited to be joining Marmot Tours in 2025 and can’t wait to meet you!
